INFORMATION ON KNOLL HILL STEERING COMMITTEE:
The Port of Los Angeles has asked the Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council to appoint six representatives to serve on a steering committee to be created for the purpose of planning a park on Knoll Hill (to be constructed following the termination of the 3-year Eastview lease). We are now calling for applications from persons interested in serving on this committee, and the primary criteria for appointment are:
- You are a stakeholder in the Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council district.
- You have a commitment to the Port's goal of developing a regional-serving park on Port property.
- You have experience with and a commitment to democratic public processes.
- You are not committed in advance to a particular park plan (advocates of particular plans will have other roles to play in the planning process).
- You are able to make yourself available to meet with the steering committee on a regular basis (at least monthly, with meeting occurring typically on week-nights and occasionally on weekdays).
